Hi everyone!
I've been checking out PentaxForums for a little while now. I'm an amateur landscape photographer in Alberta, Canada.
I've had film SLRs before and was using a digital point&shoot until recently. I then decided to take the DSLR plunge with the K-7. Can't wait for it to arrive. It's a body only so for lenses I'm thinking of something like:
- Pentax SMC DA 15mm f/4.0 ED AL
- Pentax SMC DA 35MM F2.8 MACRO LIMITED
- Pentax SMC DA 50-200MM F4-5.6 ED WR
I usually shoot lots of landscapes, but I also love architecture, flowers (macro), and some portraits (candid children and adults). I do a fair bit of hiking in the mountains so I'm looking forward to the weather-sealing of the camera.
I was hoping to get something like one of the new Sony Alpha full-frame DSLRs until I saw the price. Ouch! So.. I will stick with APS-C it seems like for a little while. Heh.
Really enjoying this site, especially the lens review database. Wow!
