Hello from Ohio

Hi all. I've had a Pentax SLR (MX) and associated lenses since the late 70s. Finally going all digital and thought this might be a good place to get advice on what (if anything) my old film equipment might be worth.

As I said, I have an MX in great shape, though it appears the light meter might not be working. It includes a strap, case and body cap

I have the following lenses:
SMC Pentax-M 1:1.7 50mm with caps
SMC Pentax-M 1:3.5 135mm with case and caps
SMC Pentax-M Zoom 1:4.5 80-200mm with case and caps
Vivitar 1:2.8 28mm Wide Angle with caps
Soligar C/D Mirror F:8 500mm with case and caps

Also a Rollei 121BC flash

Appreciate any thoughts!

Max

Hi Max,

You might get more responses if you asked this question in the lens forum

If I were you, I'd keep the two M primes and well the rest of the lenses. Our lens databases (Pentax Lens Review Database - Lens Listings for original lenses and PentaxForums.com Third-Party Lens Review Database - Lens Listings for third-party lenses) might prove helpful as far as pricing goes, and you can also search our Marketplace archives.

Thanks for the reply -- Lens Review sites.

I hate to get rid of any of this, but I really don't use it anymore and hope someone who does and appreciates the quality can put it to good use!

Cheers!

Welcome Max.

As far as the flash goes, it could literally and totally fry your DSLR the very first time you use it, so you have to check whether the output voltage is okay. If it's really old, chances are it's no good.
