Hi all! Did I get a good deal?

Hey guys!!

Nice to meet you all, I just bought my first ever Pentax camera! After reading your reviews and views on here.

It's a Pentax K-X in blue and it came with these lenses

18-55mm kit lens

TAMRON 28-75mm f2.8 lens

PLUS SIGMA 70-210mm AF ZOOM LENS

It's all only 2 months old and has all the receipts for warranty issues.

I bought it on Ebay Australia and paid $900 Australian for it.

Do you think I got a good deal??? The Tamron lens on its own is $600 new in the camera shop here so I thought I did ok?

I can't wait for it to get here now, I am SO looking forward to using my new toy!

Kerri

Hi Kerri and welcome to the Forums.
No you got a terrible deal! I think you should send me all that stuff and I'd be happy to send you 900ASD for it all, then you can take the 900ASD and get a BRAND NEW CANON! WITH A POOP...er sorry...LENS SUITABLE FOR BEGINNERS!
To be serious, yes you got a good deal. The Tamron 28-75 is considered by many (myself included) to be a very very good lens. The kit lens that comes with the K-x is not a bad lens either, not perfect, but a very good "bang for the buck" lens. And of course, the K-x is a stellar camera.
I don't know anything about the Sigma 70-210, there are several different models, but you can read about them here: http://https://www.pentaxforums.com/userreviews/reviews-Sigma-Lenses-for-Pentax-zooms.html
And best of all you've now got the resources of Pentax forums, some of the best and nicest photogs on the web.

Great kit. Have fun with your K-x & welcome to the forums.

It's not a toy, it's a tool!
