Hi all!

Hi, I'm the new guy here. One of your members has been telling me Pentax is the best, so I've got a Kx on the way, which I bought from another member here. Now I have a ton to learn. Well, hello to all, and I am sure I will be asking a ton of questions!

I have it and am now reading the manual. And reading, and reading and reading....

I did take my first pic with it. It was a quick shot of my cat laying in the floor. OMG the original files are huge. It saves 2 formats of them, the jpg is around 5 mb, the other is almost 14.

It's Chi, the wonder cat. He likes to sit on the balcony and growl at people.

Yeah, I went into the menu and checked that out. I also ordered a couple class 10 8gb cards and a class 10 16 gb card. I think I now have the space to do what I need.

You are definately in RAW+. You can change that to save in only RAW or only JPEG if you wish.

Also a piece of advice, do not read the manual all at once. You will forget most of it. I take out the manual whenever I come across a question. Doing it that way I have read about 50% of the manual (have had a Kx for about 3-4 months now).

Oh yeah and WELCOME and ENJOY!!
