Hi Folks

Figured I'd introduce myself before I started firing off comments in the DSLR thread.

My name is Gian and I am the new owner of a Pentax DSLR (K-x) with the plan of taking my photography to the next level (coming from a Can G11). My father has been a longtime fan of Pentax, and I first got started on his old SLRs and lenses.

I look forward to learning as much as I can from the Pentaxian army, and contributing where I can as well.

Welcome aboard, did your father still keep any of his lenses, as they may still work with different levels of compatibility with todays modern Pentax cameras.

Thanks! He did and I bought 3 from him! All manual: SMC A 50mm f/2, Viv 50mm f/1.7, and a Pro Master 80-200mm f/4 (I know). I just love the fact that I could get right into learning how to use the camera, and not having to wait until I could find and buy these lenses. The kit lens is pretty decent though for what it is.

* Whoops...I was kind of surprised when it said special k was available.

As long as your avatar is not a black figure on a green background, like WLACHAN's, we should be OK.

I saw that it was going to be a problem from your reply elsewhere, so I went ahead and changed it to this.
