Total and Complete N00B

After years of not doing too much, just got a K-x, and starting to wade through the Operating Manual. Did some film photog years ago (also with a Pentax, which I still have!) but haven't been serious for quite some time.

Hoping I can make a contribution and learn something from the forums.

Good stuff! You might want ot be more specific about your location, join an interest group or two and simply monitor some of the threads that interest you the most. Before you know it you will be well on the path of LBA.

I live in Las Vegas, and expect to use the camera for a lot of different things, but primarily (at this moment) for taking photos of my son and his soccer team. They are very high level players, getting ready for college.

I believe there are still some members in that area and several of us enjoy sports photo, soccer, rugby, race cars/bikes/ hockey... I look forward to seeing some captures and your take on ours...

Welcome to the forum, certainly picked a tough subject to get back into photography with, I'm always looking somewhere else when the action happens.

Well that's my excuse when a miss the shot.
