I'm amazed at this listing to see the incredible geographic range of Pentax owners. I've done photography for a very long time, with film and then a P&Shoot and finally a k10d and then a k7 DSLR as contrasted with my vintage Konica FSLR suite.
As for the new k5, the increased ISO is good if the accompanying noise and resolution can be contained. Otherwise the k7's size and out door ruggedness is terrific and for the price, it is certainly the best out there as the magazines seem to be finally noticing.
