Although new to the forum I am a 30 year Pentax veteran. Still have my original MX and winder, and it works well, though the lens was jammed on the body a while back and had to be removed.

Thought it was about time to really get into the digital age and purchased a
K100D a couple of months ago. These two cameras are really at the opposite end of the spectrum complexity wise, and it has been a really steep learning curve. Part of the fun I guess, but a little frustrating. All I need to master is Adobe CS3 and I will be truly on my way!

Anyway what has really surprised me, and the reason for the post, is the price of old Pentax glass. I know the stuff was good, and the size was always about right but is there some sort of huge demand out there to justify the prices being asked for? As an "oldie" I am happy to focus manually so I guess there must be loads of "me" out there as well. Got my DA lenses for my partner who seems to want to use my gear, but I don't want her messing with my old gear. Great forum and I look forward to wasting many hours here.
