New to DSLR in NW Florida

After about 6 months of research I settled on a Pentax K-x with two kit lens (18-55 and 55-300), incredible bargain at $628 for the package. I am upgrading from a Panasonic FZ-5 and Nikon S8000. I found this site while looking for info on the K-x. I will soon have many questions...thanks in advance for all the help I will request!

Nothing much has been happening with the group, but I've been encouraging Floridians to join anyway. Hopefully, we'll get it a bit more active soon--and probably because it's still hurricane season!
