hello from CT

Just wanted to say hello, as I am now officially a Pentax owner. A brand new K7 arrived at my door today. (I know that the K5 was about to be announced when I ordered, but figured I would go with a good deal on the K7).

On feature sets (in body IS, build quality, etc.), and value, I had narrowed things down to either Olympus or Pentax, rather than the big brands. With the confusion that Olympus' line seems to be in, I decided to go with the Pentax.

I anticipate a steep learning curve (as I hold the manual in my hands right now), but am looking forward to putting this camera to work

Any advice to get started? Any "must have" lenses to put on my "wish list"?

Not sure how you feel about manual focus lenses but my 50mm f/1.4 is fun!
