Hello from Italy !

Hi !
I'm writing from Italy, so please excuse me for my English, so far to be perfect.
I've got NO Pentax cameras nor lenses and I usually visit this forum to look at the Tamron Adaptall-2 section....

I own a Leica R8 reflex camera with DMR ( Digital Modul R , a digital 10 Mpx. digital back for Leica R8 and R9 cameras ) which delivers very good files @ 100 Iso, quite good ones @ 200 and 400 Iso and not so good @ 800 and 1600 Iso; its crop factor is 1,37 X.

I usually post on the italian Leica forum ( LEICAPASSION ), but in that place there is small room for discussion about Tamron Adaptall-2 lenses, while in this one there is a living thread about.

I often use Tamron's lenses on my R8 camera, because they are usually zooms, more usable than Leica primes for everyday shooting: sometimes I found Adaptall-2 lenses comparable to Leica ones ( expecially at medium openings, around f8, for faster usage Leica lenses are better ), so I have grow-up a small Tamron Adaptall-2 SP lens collection, about a dozen of pieces....

I hope that this forum mantains one of the better Tamron Adaptall-2 sections on the web, a noticeable resource for that very good manual focus lenses, but it is a Pentax Forum, so I don't know if I can post photos in that section.

I thing I'll stay in the shade in the future....

Bye.

Velocina

Good to have you here - you're interested in quite a specialised area of lenses, but you may find some of what you're after in the Third Party Lens Review Database accessed from the forum's toolbar above under Lenses.

Thank to you all !

I've just seen all Tamron Adaptall-2 lens rewiews in this forum: I've founded them very interesting, expecially if compared with what one can find in www.adaptall-2.org .
I've got some lenses not rewiewed in "Third Party Lens Review Database", e.g. the unusual Tamron Adaptall-2 AF 70-210 f4(IF) zoom, model #47A.
It is an autofocus zoom with Adaptall-2 socket and an embedded autofocus facility ( battery, logic and motor ), so every SLR can become an autofocus one.

Bye.
