Hi,

Just registered. Currently between cameras but am planning on buying a new K-r. Still debating on the first lens (probably either the 17-70 or waiting for the new 18-135). I have had dozens of digital cameras since around 2000, including a couple of Olympus DSLR's but decided to return to Pentax. Mostly because my most enjoyable photographs were made with my old ME Super, but I like the current lens line-up and the new cameras look impressive (K-x, K-r, K-5). Travel a lot, so I enjoy super-wide - never had much use for anything over, say, 200mm. So I am planning on starting out with a walk-around zoom, a fast-ish prime and have been looking at the Sigma 8-16 for super-wide. Kit that should fit nicely in my Domke F-3X. Anyway, looking forward to getting the camera and lens (lenses??) and enjoying photography again!
