Hi all, just joined. I am a former ME Super owner (gave it away to a friend

when I got my Canon S40 P&S)

I have been considering the move back and was looking at Canons XTi, which after consideration- I have decided against. I like the RAW button, the spot metering and more importantly, the feel of the K10D.

I will be purchasing shortly (waiting on a check to show up.) Where is the best (reliable) place to buy online? I have searched and seen many places. I've done the pricegrabber thing, etc. A lot of places come up, but I'm a little leary on WHO to buy from. B+H would be great, but the tax is a deal killer, plus their price is still not as good as NewEgg. Well, you get my point... or should I spend a few extra (tax+ higher cost = less lens money?) and buy it from the local guy?

You could try Amazon. Please do check around: Amazon has a perculiar way of listing things with prices out of whack . Of course , you could try to stop by some local stores . Talk to them, I got my DS - first digital camera - in one. I paid tax but they gave me a card for free printing (with limit ) that made up for it. Also I got to know some people with great wisdom in photography !
