[langtitle=da]Greetings from Nuuk Greenland.[/langtitle]

My gear for the moment.

Pentax K20D and MZ-7

Lenses:
Sigma:
28-80mm 1:3.5-5.6 macro Aspherical
70-300mm 1:4-5.6 DL macro
50-500mm 1:4.5-6.3 APO HSM DG OS

Pentax:
10-17mm 1:3.5-4.5 SMC DA fish-eye
18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6 SMC DA AL II
75-300MM 1:4.5(32)-5.8(38) SMC FA J AL

Various filters - still need some especially polarizer filters.

To make a long story short. I learned photography in 1986 / 87 using a Pentax K1000.

At some point i inherited some money and bought a MZ-7 with 2 sigma lenses.

Shortly before going to Greenland to work i bought a K20D - at the moment im considering buyng the new K5, and an additional lens in the range 18-50/100mm currently im looking at this sigma lens.

One week ago I also received my Tripod a Manfrotto 055CXpro4 with a 808RC4 head. I have allready ordered 2 xtra plates for the head. Now i just need some snow shoes for the tripod - otherwise taking pictures in wintertime will be a little too much fun.

I know I need to brush up on photografy - stuff like lighting etc. I also want / need to know more about HDR photography. That may be my next thread.

Welcome aborad ! It seems you are pretty well equipped already. Polarizing filters (CPLs) should be good with all that sea and snow around. I suppose something like the old fashioned rings (see: Suksisauvat - Suomen Museot Online) close to the sharp end of ski poles could be used for tripod legs too ? :-)

Update

Unfortunately my broke during the winter, something snapped inside the lens so now i can only zoom out but not in - i have to press the lens and force it back.

I recently ordered a Pentax K-5 - 18-55 wr kit, unfortunately the camera seems defective as there is something sliding inside the camera and the dust cleaning function doesnt seems to work, theres no physical or audible indications that it works, shaking the kamera gently creates noises no one wantsfrom their camera, so now I'm just waiting for a response from my supplier, as you can see i live in Greenland and the camera came from USA, if I'm lucky I can hand the camera in in Denmark, just need a friend to bring it back and forth but that needs a worldwarranty on the camera

With the lens came these 2 nifty lenses:

18-250mm F3.5-6.3 DC OS HSM - Multipurpose Zoom Lenses - SigmaPhoto.com

and

SIGMA 85mm F1.4 EX DG HSM Lens | sigmaphoto.com

I must say that im amazed of the quality on the 85mm lens, now Ijust need to break my shyness and ask people for a portrait
