Hello from Leiden, Netherlands

I bought my first DSLR in december 2008, which was the then newest Pentax camera, the K20D. Since then I bought about six lenses. I mostly use the Sigma 10-20 mm f/4.0-5.6 if possible often with a IR filter fitted on top of the lens. I also often use the SMC 35 mm f/2.8 macro limited and the Samyang 8 mm f/3.5 fish eye lens.

In april 2010 I bought my second Pentax camera, the 645N medium format analogue camera. Perhaps I can contribute in this way in my own small way to a less high-tech oriented and more laid back culture, since taking pictures with an analogue camera keeps you in check with your wallet! (Every picture taken costs money). Actually posting some pictures that I've taken with this camera was my reason to join this forum.

Photo's that I've taken can be viewed at one of the Dutch Pentaxforum sites: www.pentaxforum.nl. There I have the username Alwin. (for some reason the registration procedure here didn't allow me to use my own name spelled the correct manner - which is fine for me).

Regards, Alwin.

Welcome! I also shoot with a K20D. Your use of an IR filter made me curious...are you saying you can get color IR images by simply using an IR filter?
I visited the other forum you mentioned, but couldn't figure out how to find images you have posted there.

Thank you for replying: that's what I call a warm welcome! To answer your question: Yes, the use of an IR filter results in photo's with reddish colours. Usually in post-processing you revert back to black and white, using black&white filters. Two of the IR pictures that I've taken can be viewed here (Twee infrarood foto's).

Alwin.
