Hi from new K-5 Owner in Edmonton, AB

Hi, I just upgraded from my ist DS that I got 6 years ago. And wow, what the K-5 can do in low-light is amazing. Fast focusing... No Blurring...

I only had one day to play with it before I had to leave for work where they ban cameras. So I spend my time reading about the k-5 here online. I am glad I found this forum.

Couldn't figure out had to use the wireless function for my fgz flash.

My only concern right now is that I paid full price for the camera and I see that Pentax USA has a $100 dollar rebate. France and Germany have rebates as well.

The rebate is likely bunk unless you live in NYC and actually got a rebate card in your hand at the photo expo (rebate card states copies are not accepted). You did get the CAD discount though! Plus, no tax in Alberta right? (at least no PST).

Oh, and welcome!

Robinsons Camera in Calgary quoted me $1489 which is the lowest that I have seen for a k-5 body in Canada.
