Hello everyone, have a pentaxtic day!

I just bought my first Pentax DSLR, the K-x, and I am very pleased. My first camera was a Pentax K1000, then, when the digitals came in, I bought point and shoot. Now, I am rediscovering the SLR. I hope to learn from this forum. Pepe

Good to have you here Pepe,
The K-x is a fine gem - great value and the power of a top dSLR in such a little package.
Enjoy your time on the forum.

Welcome! You're certainly not the first to be positively surprised by the K-x- hope you're enjoying it!

Welcome, Pepe!

Do you by any chance still have any of your K1000 lenses?

Not a chance, it was in 1976. I only did black and white at that time. Later on I had a Pentax Me, then moved to Canon AE-1, which offered fully automatic and manual. I gave it to my daughter in 2000 and she finished it. No lens at all. I am getting them as I need. I actually bought the camera to photograph my guitars, which I sell, they do not look good when I take photos of them with my fuji point and shoot. Uh oh:

I'm a guitar player, and have been thinking about getting that one special guitar. Maybe a parlor.

Edit:

Uh oh:

I see you make a parlor.

Hi Ira, thanks for your comments. I make Spanish guitar only (nylon strings: classical or flamenco). I will keep posting photos of the guitars.
