Just joined this forum. Pentax was my first camera (early 70s), but since have owned Canon, Nikon, Olympus and most recently Panasonic micro 4/3 system. Just purchased the K-X having read extensively about how good the sensor is and the general performance of the K-X. Honestly didn't consider Pentax in the past as I got embedded with Oly for a period of years, liked the 4/3 format, although not good for higher ISOs.
Anyway I look forward to reading and learning on this site. I am located in the Clearwater, Florida area, so have great photo op all the time. Looking forward to colder weather and the real birds coming down (not snowbird types). Presently own the K-X with kit lens, 55-300 DA and Sigma 50 macro. I feel lens selection is paramount to any system as each lens certainly has its own personality and use. I think only other lens I will be looking for is a wide angle like a 20 f/2.8.

Je suis toute nouvelle sur le site j'habite en France et ai décidé de découvrir l'argentique avec pentax. Et suis actuellement à la recherche de divers boitiers dont un MX. Que dire d'autre!!! je ne suis pas quelqu'un qui aime se décrire ou parler d'elle je laisse les autres me découvrir en apprenant a faire connaissance avec moi.

Largo is a smaller town next to Clearwater, most recognize Clearwater and some think Largo in the Keys, as Key Largo.
