Longtime Pentax user, first time member
Hi. I just joined the other day. I've used Pentax for a while but only started browsing this forum in the last few weeks.
Did the whole 35mm thing in highschool on a Pentax ME Super. Was halfway decent at it, but eventually, time/money caused me to put it away. Was without a camera until a little over a year ago when I picked up a K2000. Was hooked instantly. Loved it. However, had a few little imperfections that caused me to consider replacing it.
My intent was to get a K-x or maybe K-r. But, I ended up finding buyers for all my old equipment and few other random things I had lying around, and suddenly I had more funds than common sense, lol. So I just ordered a K-5. Way too much camera for my skill set, but I look forward to improving my abilities to match the device.
I'm fanatical about reading up on products so I'll be browsing this entire site thoroughly to learn about my new hardware. Posting will be minimal unless I absolutely cannot find the answer I need, lol.
Either way, look forward to learning a lot and eventually, as I become more informed, participating along with everyone else.
