Hi from a DSLR novice in Sydney, Australia! Starting out with a Kx.

Hi there,

After a long & ardous process I have finally settled on a Kx as my first DSLR. I haven't bought it yet but will be doing so before Christmas (family are coming in from overseas which is spurring me on).

So, now that I've settled on the camera I thought I would officially join the pentax forums rather than just lurking!

As a complete beginner I will no doubt need some help in the near future!

THANKS!

- Marea

Welcome Marea.
You've taken a punt at an excellent little camera.
Top performance, top output.
Enjoy the learning process.

Welcome to the list, I just joined myself. The K-X is my first DSLR as well. I just started using it this week. I've mostly been playing with aperture. Shutter speed is next on the list. You will have a blast!

Welcome to the forum, glad to have you on board. Maybe you should buy an underwater housing kit for it with all the rain you guys are having over there.

HAHAHA! Yeah, it's been crazy. Where I am Sydney hasn't had floods though & it's been about 30 degrees for the past two days so no complaining here.

My parents live in Scotland though & Mum's car has been under snow for over 10 hours, so even if it was raining I guess I can't complain!

Thanks again for the warm welcome. M.
