I'm new to DSLRs but have had some time traveling with a film SLR, and while never that great with it I want to pick things back up and actually learn what I am doing. I'm in the process of getting a K-7 so I can better pictures than my point and shoot I had in the Indian Himalayas... the trip deserved better and the next one will get better.
I've been shooting with a Spotmatic II for almost 40 years here in NC and around the world and recently bought a K-7 18-55 & 55-300 for middle school yearbook use. For normal hands it's very, very comfortable. Just received a 16x20 enlargement from Adorama of pumpkins at the Ashe County Farmers Market in West Jefferson. Absolutely stunning resolution convinced my principal to do a framed photo wall in the new entrance of our K-8 language academy. More frames to build and mats to cut. Take the K-7 to the NC Mtns now that the leaves are gone and shoot some of the early morning vistas.....amazing almost Ektachrome blue.
