Greetings from Ireland.

Hello from a recent convert to digital. Getting to know my pre-owned Pentax K-m. I am sure I will need help with it. I have been a film user for 40 (ouch!) years. The site is fantastic.

So in other words, you're a decrepit old fart like me?

COOL!

We need more old farts here like us, and less gorgeous and young and trim Australians, who seem to be taking over this damn place.

WELCOME!

OK - I'm in also!
My first Pentax was the MX when it was "current" - and, no, that was not my first serious camera.

Hey Conan -
Welcome to the forum, I see you are from Ireland.
Well western Ireland beat us to the snow by about a week and I was concerned about some people I know in the east (Shannonside).
Found out they were a lot better off than Dublin, etc.
Now we got hit here in New Jersey - as well of course as almost the whole east coast !
My town got 21 inches and I still cannot get out my apartment back door because that side of the building is covered in a 6 foot snow drift.
Thankfully I also have a front door.
A nearby large city, Elizabeth N J, got 32 inches. And you don't even want to hear the stories from Boston, etc. !!!!
Thankfully I received for Christmas, among other things, a lot of chocolate goodies, a couple of books, and a bottle of
Paddy Irish Whiskey - so "let it snow, let it snow".
Maybe tomorrow when the wind stops I'll actually go out and take some pictures.
My K200D is weather sealed - I am not!

Yes, we got snow. And record low temperatures - down to -17 centigrade. Unheard of here. Some nice pictures - I will try to post when I learn more! My first Pentax was (is) the ME Super. I have added a few since then. Thanks for the welcomes.
