Just bought my first DSLR. Used compacts for some time now but gone back to SLR. Bought a kx and it seems to be an excellent camara so far. Had trouble getting hold of a remote but got one of e bay for £5.99 which seems a bargain.

Welcome Kev, hope you enjoy the Kx, by all accounts here it's a great little camera (I used one for a week last year and though it wasn't right for me I liked it a lot)
Watch the boot sales and the markets there seems to be some great deals in the UK on old lenses. i picked up a SMC M 50 f1.7 for 10 pounds in portobello in October when I was over
great lens, and I'd suggest it to anyone who wanted to get a start with older Manual focus Prime lenses (also easy to resell if you decide it's not for you)
