Like the guy who begins taking photos then realizes the lens cap is on...

I bypassed introducing myself and jumped right into the forums!

My name is George and I'm in the Land in Between, that great divide between Buffalo and Rochester, the dark side of the moon for most "city folk"

I've been doing photography since I kidnapped my dad's Minolta back in the early 80s, to the point where he had to get my my own camera, a Canon AE-1P I still own (and use once in a while). Professionally, I decided to step into the arena back in 03 and have been doing it mostly on the side until this year, when I decided to go all out and open a small studio, advertise, the works... All this while still holding a "Day job" to pay the bills, and yes, the insurance .

I enjoy photojournalism and shoot weddings in that style. On a personal side, I love insect photography, so I do a fair bit of it on the side. I also admire tattoo art and photograph some of that as well. I'm working on getting more subjects in the studio, but need to take it slow as I make my way through the "part time pro" circuit.

So far the Pentax forum folk have been invaluable help and hope to continue learning from so many experienced, wonderful individuals.

Regards,

George

Hi George:

"Like the guy who begins taking photos then realizes the lens cap is on... "

If anyone asks, just tell them you are doing a high-ISO VPN check.

Happy to be here!

Hey Everyone,

my name is Chris and I'm from Benicia, California. It's a small waterfront town about 25miles from San Francisco. I recently pcked up a K10D after less than stellar performance from my Nikon D80. The Nikon was my first jumo into the digital world. i dumped it shortly after and began to search my bet option. In the end, the K10D won and I couldn;t be happier. I love this camera! Anyway, I look forward to learning from all of you-

Chris
