I received a K-x as a gift and it is my first DSLR. I am sure I will need plenty of help and advise.

I did get the black, but I think the colors are pretty cool. I just couldn't do it. Oh, and I did buy it as a "birthday gift" to myself. I wish now I would have gotten the 55-300 lens.

New to SLR? Buy rent or steal this book

. It is usually available in libraries. Most people recommend this one. I started with it. Helps a great deal.
