Pleased to meet you! : }

Hello

I have just discovered your site in my search to find out if this :

tamron 70-210mm sp af ld 1-2.8

will work with my brand new PENTAX K-x DSLR or if so do I need an adapter of sort?

Its nice to have a community to talk to lol; I live in a small town( Moose Jaw, Sask.) and know no one in the industry.

Any ways I wish you all the best!

Jesse D

Welcome! Did you find out if that lens will fit? I am not familiar with that lens but I'm sure others can let you know. This forum is the best Pentax forum out there and I have learned so much over the past year. Enjoy!

Good to have you in the forum Jesse.
Enjoy your time here.
Not sure if your lens is the older manual focus variety that required an Adaptall adapter for K-mount but you can ask the person who is selling it whether it already has a K-mount on it, which is the requirement for Pentax cameras for lenses to fit straight on.

Thanks Everybody

Thanks all:

I have posted else where in this forum about the lens and they told me it would not work with the camera. I returned it to the seller who is a friend to my gf.

Welcome aboard the forum, what a fantastic name for a place, how did it get that name, Wikipedia suggests two options:

"The first one is that it comes from the Plains Cree name moscāstani-sīpiy meaning "a warm place by the river", indicative of the protection from the weather that the Coteau Range provides to the river valley containing the city[2] and also the Plains Cree word Moose Gaw meaning warm breezes. The other is that on the map of the city the Moose Jaw river is shaped like a moose's jaw.".

As Moose Javian which one's right.
