Hi all
My name is Allan and this is my first visit to this site.
Just now i do not own a Pentax but i hope to have a K7 very soon once i have raised the cash for either new or used.
In the past i had a Nikon D300 which i had to sell when one of my dogs became very ill. I had some money left over and bought the Fuji HS10 which is not bad but i would rather have the K7.
So as they say watch this space. So until then i will just look around this site and most likely ask some questions.

Hi Allan welcome, I got a used K7 a couple of months back as an upgrade from My K10
You should be quite happy with it when you get it, now that I have it I see very limited benefit in spending nearly twice as much for a K5 (though the hi iso performance would occasionally be of benefit)

Well i never got my K7 but i did buy a K1000 as for the next couple of years i wanted to get right back to the grass roots of photography.

i've been doing that a lot in the last few years, i'm up to 12 different film cameras now from basic little p/s to a huge medium format rangefinder (next stop ansel adams territory and a view camera, it's the only logical step left)
