Old accessories compatibility

Good afternoon dears

First of all let me congratulate this Forum and all the people involved , who helps build this Pentax users place.

I´m about to buy a Pentax K7 (i´m finally surrended to DSLR) upgrading from my old P30.

I have several lenses also as a dedicated Pentax Flash and my question is if can use it on the K7 .

Thanks in advance for your help

Regards

Are the lenses Pentax lenses? If so, yes--you can use them.

Your flash should be fine, but be aware that many old flashes that were used for film cameras can damage the camera severely because of trigger voltage.

A lot of us use lenses from the 1950s ~ 1980s. The lenses I use every day are all 40~50 years old. I use flashes from the 1980s. My macro tubes are from the early 1960s. For many of us the ability to easily use old equipment on modern Pentax DSLRs was one of the primary reasons we chose Pentax.

Actually, all of the Pentax flashes are supposed be okay, but scroll down this list to look for your model:

Let us know if you see it there.
