Just picked up an old Pentax K1000 and am looking into buying a K10D or K20D. I'm a complete noob at photography, hoping to get some good tips around the forums.

Welcome to the forum! You found a good spot for information. I just purchased my first dslr about three months ago. I've been having a blast. I suspect you will as well.

Welcome here. You'll be able to use all your old lenses on your K10D or K20D.

Hey! Somehow I missed this earlier. I live on the north end of Uptown and have a SuperProgram as well as a K200D, and a bunch of manual focus and autofocus lenses. If you want to get together and shoot, try out some stuff you're thinking about buying, let me know.
