Hello from Illinois! My name is Austen and I am new to SLR's. I just bought a K-X and can't wait to read more posts and threads!

Welcome! My Kx I got a year ago was my first ever DLSR. It is a great camera to lean on. Simple to use but can render some amazing photographs. Be sure to take some time and explore as much of this website as you can, there is useful info all over. Enjoy!
