Welcome! I too have a Kx and also had the Tamron 18-200. Good lens, ok IQ but very versatile. This forum can just as important as your camera and lens. There is useful information all over so be sure to take some time and explore as much as you can. Enjoy!

The camera came with the 18-55 kit lens. I wanted an all-in-one lens if you will. I hope i made the right decision. I haven't taken very many pics with the new lens yet. Any pointers with the 18-200? I have noticed it does tend to creep. I am new to the digital SLR. The last SLR I had was a ricoh 35mm

Enjoy the K-x. If the lens creep doesn't bother you too much, the 18-200 should serve your purposes well. Welcome and hope the forum is useful to you.

Hi Avenger.

I just joined and I am in the market for a kx or kr. Nice to see another Albertan!

I'm currently running a canon g10 and some really tiny Ricoh digital that is pretty old but has always been handy.

I had the G10 its a really good point and shoot. It was stolen when we moved, replaced it with the K-X. Its a great camera so far.

Welcome to the forum. I've had the K-x for about three months and really enjoy learning with it. Have fun with your new kit!
