New around these parts

Hi guys.

Just a hobby photographer here. I'm currently in college and am looking very closely (and have had my heart set on for very long) at getting a K110D! So I figured I'd join up here, share some things, and maybe check the marketplace for lenses or other accessories! (Why does KEH suck for Pentax?)

Right now I just have a P&S, it's a Sony DSC-W50. I don't do any work professionally and I don't play on it. I just love taking pictures and displaying them on my computer and around my rooms.

I was referred here from macrumors.com and I'm looking forward to my camera and the forum.

Well, at times I can be, yes. I run my own forum (The Official Nickelback one) and we do this elimination thing so I guess I got hooked on polls.

Great site you have setup here!

Welcome!

You and most of the rest of us are non professionals here who just want to shoot pics

As far as the k110, if you have the extra money the k100 is a very good investment as well. SR is well worth the money, ask my wife

cheers!

Thanks! I've though long and hard about that but came to the conclusion that... I'm just learning and building up my lenses and if I ever need to upgrade in the future I can. In the meantime, I'll save myself a few bucks and invest it in other things.
