New to Pentax - Receiving Collection

Hello,

I am new to Pentax. In the next few weeks I will be receiving a Pentax collection that belonged to a family member that has passed away.

I'm looking forward to learning about Pentax, and all the equipment. I am receiving something like 6 Film SLR's and a 6x7 Pentax as well (among other brands).

This looks like a good place to learn and share.

I currently shoot a Nikon D300, so while not new to DSLR's, I am new to Pentax. I understand all the lenses (excluding M42 unless I have adapters) will fit on newer bodies as well.

Anyway, hello from Minnesota and from a soon to be Pentax user.

I'm sorry for your loss, but it should be fun learning about your new Pentax gear. There's lots of good info on this forum.

Welcome aboard. Note that with that 6x7 you have to put film in it (and a battery) to even cock the shutter.

Welcome!

I know there are adapters that go from Pentax 120 Med format lenses to Pentax K, but I don't know about the 6x7.

Yeah, I'm running out of places to pile the snow! My driveway is shrinking because the pile is moving inward LOL!

I'm sure you've heard, we're on track for 80-90"total, which will crack the top 5 record snow fall seasons!
