Howdy from Texas

So here it is...I'm a 27 yr old electrical engineer from the huge town of Paris, TX and currently reside in Houston. I've been shooting my K-7 for less than a year. Before that I've been using Pentax 35mm SLRs since December 2002.

Basic equipment background:

My mother shot a MG with some cheap lenses from ~1984~1995 when the camera started messing up.

First year in college I purchased a MG with a 50/2 lens on ebay. Since I have owned a ZX-7 and ZX-50 and a variety of cheap used lenses (which I gave to a new pentaxian last week to thin out my closet).

Last April my wife told me it was time for me to upgrade and asked me to pick some stuff out. A few weeks later she gave me a K-7, DA* 16-50, and a DA* 60-250. I now carry the K-7, the two DA* lenses, the M 50/2, and a sigma 28-80/3.5-5.6 macro on occasion. I'm also learning to use my Metz 48 AF-1.

So anyways...Howdy from "a whole other country"....Texas.
