I've been lurking for some time here, but thought it was time to register and introduce myself. I live in Iceland, in a suburb of Reykjavik.

I started photographing with a Pentax MX a little over 30 years ago, and have owned several Pentax cameras over the years. I now mainly use my K-7, but sometime use my 6x7 MLU as well.

I put a link to some of my photos into my User Info, if anyone's interested.

Welcome to the forum, how far were you from the crater for the night volcano shots?

Certainly looks a pretty wild place to be.

It wasn't as close as you'd think. I was 2-3 miles away. The light trails you see in the photos are from rocks as big as trucks.
