Hello from Texas!

Hi All,

I'm currently in Texas, but originally from Washington State. I've got a Pentax K200D, which is my first Pentax and so far I couldn't be happier with it.

I'm still at the point where I'm not sure if upgrading would be worth it, so I'm working getting some good lenses for now.

Great to be here!

Nice to have you here Patrick!
It's a big dang forum, like Texas is a big dang State, and I'm still learning my way around here.
Hope to bump into you on one of the threads!

G'day Patrick.
You never need to upgrade a camera if you've been happy with your results from it.
Lenses are by far the better 'upgrade' option, if you know exactly what you'll need to use the lens for.
Enjoy the forum and your photography.

Hi, and welcome. I haven't been to Texas, but I sure relate to looking at more lenses. (Actually, everyone here does.)
As I write this, an older Takumar 85 is coming my way. Once I knew what I wanted, I just used the Marketplace, didn't see one for sale, so posted on the "Wanted" site.

Thanks for the welcome everyone! I'm liking the tags on these posts...I'll do some searching for the K200D. I've already found some great posts - one great one recommending shooing 100-200 for my camera. Pretty intuitive, but its great hear many people with the same recommendation.

Bob - Hope to run into you too! I'm looking forward to posting pics and getting some critiques-
Ash - Thanks for the welcome from Down under!
Taiweitai- I hope texas is treating you well - you are eveb further from home than me!
Arm - you are making me jealous Going to browse the marketplace now....
