Shw mae (hello)!

Just signed up to the forum. I'm new to dSLRs and I've been doing an evening course for the last few weeks.

I'm thoroughly enjoying it and may well be purchasing my first dSLR in a couple of weeks time. I could well go for the Pentax k-r.

Looking forward to learning more about photography from this site.

Welcome to the forum, glad to have you on board. Here's something to consider, it may pay you to save a bit more and buy the Pentax K-5 which you will grow into rather than the beginner's type digital SLR which you will grow out of pretty quick. I made that mistake when I did my course and bought the K200D which after a few weeks had wished I paid a bit more at the time and got the K20D. And it won't make any difference if the camera is like brand new when you sell it you will still lose about 30% to 50% of it's purchase price. This is worth considering.
