New K7 & FA 43mm Ltd newbie

Hello Pentax World,

After long arduous research regarding upgrading from Leica D-lux 4 to an dslr, I opted for the Pentax K7 and FA 43mm limited lens, to stay as compact as possible. Both are fantastic, and I'm sure I have the extra cool factor of not being the usual Canon or Nikon user on the block...(not to bash them of course!)

Look forward to sharing a few shots and picking the collective brains of Pentaxians!

Ps I do have a question about FA 43mm lens, which I know I should probably post elsewhere...so I will!

Same kit as I started with ... those'll keep you busy ! The most important tip I'd say for the K7 would be to set a maximum high of ISO800 unless you are very proficient in PP and can maybe reduce the noise in ISO 1,600 shots to an acceptable level. And don't forget the 43 Ltd is not WR just because it's a Ltd !

Thanks all - already had a few quick outings with K7 and 43mm Ltd (& kit, though it never left the bag). Just had a look at some of the posted images - all very impressive! Yep, I did read about keeping ISO below 1000 ideally, which generally is no problem for me. Helps having the fast lens too of course!
