Hello from Zagreb, Croatia

Hi everyone!
I must confess that I've already posted elsewhere, before coming to this area.
So, to cut a long story short, my name is Branimir, my native language is not english (you might've guessed that by now) and...

4 hours ago, I bought my first dSLR! It's K100D with 18-55mm kit lens!

So, my first impression is... there's gonna be a lot of manual reading. It's a whole order of magnitude more complex "toy" than my previous camera - Canon A70

And yes I plan to be active participant in this forum, and to put some pictures for you to "constructively decompose"

Branimir

Greetings Branimir. Welcome to our gathering in the ether. The manual is pretty thick but from what I understand of the K100, it is a sweet camera. Looking foward to your posts of past and future work.

Congratulations on the purchase of a wonderful camera (yes, I have a K100D too!) It does take some reading and experimenting, but one nice thing is that you can use the different scene modes to get some great pictures while you're still learning. I like to use the scene modes, then take pictures in manual mode to see what is different, what I do that may look better, and what just didn't work at all. I'm sure you'll have lots of fun learning.
