Hi to all Pentaxians...

i still do not belong to the Pentaxian Community, but I impatiantly await the end of may to order a brand new K-5 at my local retailer.
Until now I was the owner oft a Canon EOS-400D which was sold recently...searching for a more professional cam my local retailer suggested Pentax: "small company..good service..good products..."he handed me the new K-5 over and i liked the size and the small body immediately,....much smaller than the Canon bodies...
So i am observing this forum since 3 months, know all about the problems of the K-5, pros and cons but still wanna buy one...love at first sight maybe? gg
the first challenge will be the Paris Air Show end of June so i attend to buy the 18-55 mm Kit and additionally the 55-300mm for the flight displays although my local retailer recommends the 18-135mm as i don't need to change lenses at all....for me it seems to small at the telefoto end.

Welcome. I think for an air show the 18-135 would be to small for in flight shots. The da 55-300 is a great lens. Great IQ.

Welcome to the forum, CuriousEye. Lucky you to get to be in Paris in June! I have the 18-135, and love the lens, but agree that it is too short for the more distant air shots.
