My name is Matt, I'm fairly new to photography. I've been shooting with a bunch of Canon bodies and lenses for 4 years now and have recently decided to make the switch to Pentax. I'm won't go through all the equipment i've been through since it will take forever but I'll just say my reason for the switch is the smaller form factor and better pricing.

I haven't pulled the trigger yet but I'm almost positive I want the K-5 and the 55mm f1.4. I borrowed the K20 and the 77mm limited from my father-in-law and now i'm hooked.

I know I'll find a wealth of information from this forum as I have in the past from similar Canon and Nikon forums.

lol if I had known about the dark side I would have joined years ago...

I just have 2 canon lenses to get rid of. I think I'm going to pick up the k-5 and the kit lens on thursday. Then I'm hoping to find a used 55mm on the forum some time in the next couple of weeks.
