A new Members Introduction

Hi folks,

I'm the proud (ecstatic) owner of a new Pentax K-5.
I bought the K-5 Body along with the Pentax 17-70 Lens.
I'm finding that this Lens is proving to be a great walkabout Lens.

I must admit that most of the K-5's features are wasted on me because I nearly always shoot Manual, choosing the lowest ISO available even though this forces me to always carry a tripod.
Despite my preference for Manual Mode, at the present time I'm on a steep learning curve, trying out all the different Modes along with the e-dial and Button customisation's.
Slowly but surely I'm beginning to understand the new (to me) Pentax terminology such as Program Line (and how it works). However, the e-dial terminology 'P Shift' still has me foxed?

I look forward to learning some useful tips on this forum.

Best regards to one and all.

Hi Roy. Welcome to the party. And yup, I have a K5 and find a lot of reasons to shoot manual at low ISO. The results with this body are great! But the high ISO's are there when you need 'em and that's a great plus.
