Hello my name is John i am new to the site and to digital slrs. I am looking at a new never been used k10d. The seller wants 325.00 is this a good price? I do have a few ?s on the camera, can i shoot in the jpeg mode? and get clear pics i have read on a few reviews it is best to shoot in the RAW mode, i have no software for my pc yet to make changes , i plan in buying one after camera purchase but not now also i have read that this camera is not great for taking pics of sports, i would like to use it for taking pics at a 1/4 mile dragstrip.

Welcome! You need to ask your question in the proper section in order to get responses. Try the "Beginners Corner Q&A" or "DSLR Discussion", you should get the best results there. Since I know nothing about the K10D I cannot say if $325 for a brand new one is good or not. The camera review section will probably help you figure that out also. Enjoy!

Welcome to the forum, body is one thing, but lens choice will be very important depending how close you can get to the strip, otherwise everything looks awfully small in the viewfinder.
