Hi,
This is my first SLR of any since... 1989! I have had a Yashica FX3 Super 2000 of which I was very fond. At that time I also had a Pentax K-1000 that has since gone away. I just purchased a NOS Pentax K100D Super body. Off of ebay I bought a Pentax FA 28-80mm f3.5-5.6 lens and a Pentax DA 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 AL lens. I also purchased 8 Energizer NiMH batteries... now I'm waiting for it all to arrive.
Of course, a little research turned up a K10D in excellent condition for about $50 more so now I'm wondering if it's worth a super quick upgrade (seeing as I haven't even received the K100D yet)! Now I have to learn real photography all over again as I am coming off a Panasonic DMC-FZ7 super-zoom point and shoot. I'll have to learn too as I unearthed the last remaining old lens I had... a Promaster K-mount 80-200mm f1:4.5 lens that will play with... I'm guessing in manual focus, Aperture priority mode.
Anyway... looking forward to the education and wealth of information that appears to be here.
