New Here

I'm new to Pentaxforums, but not new to Pentax cameras. I'm still using the K2 that my future wife gave me as a gift in 1978, and I've since added a ZX-5n and a ZX-L to my collection of film cameras. As you might have guessed, I still shoot film, but have finally entered the 21st century, using a 5mp p&s from which I am looking to upgrade. I look forward to some useful discussions with both film and digital users.

Hint, hint, tell the future wife to check your gift registry at B&H photo.

Do you find it kind of difficult to make important decisions?
(1978???)

Welcome to the forum.
You've come to the right place.
Depending on your needs and budget, you will certainly find a decent camera body that will fit the bill for you.
My suggestion is to choose from the K-x or K-r in small, entry-level models or the K-7 or K-5 for a more advanced enthusiast model.

Thanks for the input. I've already played a bit with the K-X at my local camera store and will likely purchase a Pentax DSLR once my finances are in sufficient shape. And, yes, 1978; my K2 is still in top shape and takes excellent photographs. I graduated to an AF SLR a number of years ago as my aging eyes found it more difficult focus manually.
