Greetings from NJ

I'm a retro grouch. I've eliminated all my Nikon Digital equipment and just went full manual with a K1000. I've decided that I'm going to use this system to rediscover my joy of manual photography.

In high school I had a darkroom and used a Yashica manual camera, then an olympus OM1N, then OM2N, then Canon A1, then went Nikon D1000 digital. Sold all the Nikon equipment to build a patio and was using point and shoot Fuji and Canon cameras.

I just decided that I wanted to use the manual system. I've accumulated some used lenses, flashes, etc. My prize find was a Komine Vivitar Series1 70-210 2.8-3.8 (unfortunately the pre AE model). I just found a tamron SP 60-300 adaptall. My other find was the Pentax 35-105mm f. 3.5.

I also found a mint brown K1000 SE on ebay. It's now getting new seals and a cleaning.

I hope to see how the transition to digital goes. Some day I might want to try my lenses with a K5 or K7 body.

BTW, how do the old M type lenses work with the K5 or K7?
