I've been interested in photography for many years. Started with a Fujifilm S5200 digital (got it for the built-in 10x zoom) and while it gave me a basic idea of setting up the camera for manual exposures, it just wasn't enough for me (button-style zoom, button-style 'manual zoom' (which was almost a joke), etc).
Weighed the pros/cons vs costs and availability for a while, but put off purchasing anything. Then a few months ago, my then GF (wife by end of tomorrow) surprised me with an anniversary gift of a new camera! She actually remembered that I had been making comments about a K-r months previous, so I was both pretty shocked by it.
Needless to say, its taking me forever to get a chance to actually try the camera out. Been reading alot for hints, looking at other people's pictures, and have finally started to get some work done getting used to it.
I hope to be able to get lots of help from the forums, and to see just what our cameras can do
