Hello ~ I'm a newbie to the forum but a 35+ years Pentax user. Currently using the Pentax istDL, but ready to upgrade after over 20k actuations. Want to go to the K-5 and also looking to purchase a new lens. I stayed with Pentax when I went digital because I had so many quality Pentax lenses from my SLR days that I wanted to continue to use. Pentax has never failed me yet. I have 3 SLR bodies and the DL. Just found the forum so looking forward to learning more as I become familiar with it. I live in beautiful northeast Oregon where everyday there's a photo opportunity!!

Welcome to the forum. Do go for the K-5. It's a excellent camera.
