Hi I am new to Pentax Forums

I would like to get some insights before buying K-7.

I am confused between Nikon D7000 and K-7.

Please provide some suggesstions.

Welcome to the forum.
Best to look at the feature and specifications set of each camera, deciding upon which of them you value most, then doing a physical test drive of the camera in store before making your decision - and it's only your to make. Both cameras are capable and reliable - the D7000 clearly more modern and better in high ISO performance, more comparable to the K-5, but it depends what you want in a camera.

Best advise is go and have play with both cameras and see which one suits you better.
If you already have some good lenses in either Pentax or Nikon, you might be wise to stick with that brand. I agree with Ash that K5 is a closer match to the D7000.

I bought K-7 with kit lens 18-55mm. Now playing around and getting used to the right EV's, f stops and ISOs.
