Sorry to hear your gear was lifted. Hopefully insurance covered it. Welcome to Pentax.

Here are some places to start looking.

For portraits:
FA 31/1.8 ltd, DA* 55/1.4, FA* 85/1.4 (out of production)

For weddings:
The DA* 16-50/2.8, DA* 50-135/2.8 or maybe the FA* 80-200/2.8 (out of production).

For sport, well that depends on the sport:
The DA* 60-250/4 is quite versatile. Beyond that, the DA* 300/4

The out of production gear I've mentioned is fairly commonly available either through the marketplace or ebay.

Also, based on your wedding thoughts, you might consider a second K-5 body, but it probably depends on how many weddings you are shooting .

I can recommend the Tamron 70-200mm/2.8 for sports, and if you want something longer, sigma has a fast 300mm and 500mm.

For portraiture consider the FA 77/1.8 Ltd. Great rendering!

For sports, you might also want to look at what Tamron/Sigma have on offer. They have lenses with longer focal length on offer and in particular Sigma's HSM is often quicker than Pentax's SDM.

Regarding the second DSLR:
A second K-5 would be optimal. A K-7 would give you the same controls with slightly weaker AF and less dynamic range.

What would you want the second body for? As a backup solution or to use it in parallel with another lens on it? Or as an alternative lighter kit? Depending on the answers to these questions there are a number of choices from current and past Pentax DSLRs.

I like to have a second lens for emergencies like a battery dying unexpectedly or just having a camera ready with a different lens so I can immediately something different without changing lenses. I usually also have a film ready with B&W.

I'm assuming you want a cheaper camera for your backup, I would suggest a K-x or a K20D if you want to continue on the semi-pro line.

I appreciate the excellent advice. I fount it funny that looking on Amazon to replace the K20D(which I got used for an excellent deal) it's actually more new than the k-5. Do unless I find a good used deal; very likely, I suppose I'll go with two k-5s'.
